We are an interdisciplinary team of designers, artists, and engineers
Michael is a mechanical engineer, designer, glassblower, and additive manufacturing researcher. He received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute for Technology. Incessant questioning leads him on a search for connections and contradictions between his training in traditional glass blowing and digital design.
Raphael is an industrial designer passionate about creating human-centered products and experiences. His work strives for functional simplicity, guided by the emotional context in which he is designing. Raphael's design process translates ideas into real-world products through clear visual communication. Outside of the studio he enjoys running, rock climbing, and reading books.
Ethan is a glass artist who has shown work internationally. His work relies on playfully prodding at the materiality of molten glass. Stretching, spinning, bubbling, and jumping onto glass are some of the ways he approaches his medium. Originally from Oahu, Ethan draws inspiration from the water and even in the Northeast winters, can be seen wing foiling and surfing.
Ben is pursuing his Mechanical Engineering Bachelors at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He is passionate about machine design and is a proficient CAD modeler. In his free time he likes to rock climb, longboard, and play video games with friends.
