The system fabricates objects 325 x 325 x 380mm out of studio art glass, container glass, and float (window) glass.
The moon is about half silica by weight. If you get it hot you can make glass. Some estimates are that getting a pound of material onto the lunar surface could cost upwards of $500,000. So let’s build things locally. We’re working on technologies to cast, weld and 3D print in space.
